ATLANTA (July 28, 2015) – The Auburn Tigers have completely sold through their allotment of tickets for their Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game matchup against the Louisville Cardinals.
Fans interested in purchasing tickets can still do so through PrimeSport, the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game’s Official Ticket Exchange and VIP Hospitality Provider. No tickets are available through the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl office.
“With high preseason expectations and their level of passion, Auburn fans are obviously ready for the return of college football,” said Gary Stokan, Peach Bowl Inc. President & CEO. “We’re confident that we’re going to have a completely sold out, electric atmosphere in Atlanta to open the season.”
The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game has sold out games in six of its seven years of existence (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014) and is anticipated to sell out again this year.
The game between the Cardinals and the Tigers is set for Saturday, Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m. in the Georgia Dome and will be nationally televised on CBS.
The matchup marks just the second meeting of the projected top-25 teams. Auburn holds a 1-0 lead in the series following a 1974 win against Louisville. This will be Louisville’s first Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game appearance and Auburn’s second – the first a 2012 matchup against Clemson.
